Context is provided by the independent developer using the name Sleepy Cat Apps, a developer name rather than a separate company ("we"). Contact: [email protected]. These terms cover the Context mobile application and Context Plus. The Privacy Policy explains personal data processing; accepting these terms does not replace any separate consent required by law.
Context has no app-specific minimum age or country restriction. Applicable laws, store rules and service-provider eligibility requirements still apply. If you cannot legally enter into this agreement yourself, the legally required parent or guardian authorization is necessary. The app store's content rating does not itself determine eligibility.
Use Context lawfully. Obtain the rights and permissions needed to photograph, record, import and share other people's images, voices and information. Do not use the app for unlawful surveillance, infringement, harassment, malicious files or attempts to bypass service protections or subscription restrictions. Mandatory legal exceptions remain available.
Context connects photos with voice notes, transcripts, summaries and reminders. Some features require internet access, device permissions, a supported operating system or an active Plus subscription. Offline recordings may be queued and sent for processing when connectivity returns and the app can run.
There is no Context account registration in this version. Local storage is not a guarantee of cloud backup or recovery. Keep independent copies of important information. Device photo, calendar and backup services may synchronize copies under their own settings.
Cloud services process recordings and note text to generate transcripts, summaries, classifications and dates. Outputs may be incomplete or wrong. Review them, especially names, tasks, relative dates, time zones and calendar entries, before relying on them.
Notifications and calendar operations depend on permissions, device settings and platform services. Delivery at a particular time is not guaranteed. Context is not an emergency service or a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.
You keep your rights in your photos, recordings and notes. You authorize the processing necessary to provide the features you use; this does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
Photos saved to the system library may contain note text and GPS metadata. Ordinary photo sharing may preserve that metadata. A Context file (.ctx) may include photos, available audio, transcripts, AI results, dates and time-zone information. Its location switch controls structured GPS fields, not place names already spoken or written in the content. A .ctx file is not password encrypted. Recipients can read, copy and forward it; we cannot recall their copies. Check the contents and recipients before sharing.
The purchase screen and app store show the features, duration, price, currency, taxes and any trial or offer conditions that apply. The store charges your payment method. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to the store's displayed deadlines. An introductory offer or trial becomes paid only as disclosed when you subscribe.
Manage or cancel through your store subscription settings or the subscription management option in Context. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription. Access normally continues through the paid period after cancellation, subject to the store's rules. Refund requests, withdrawal rights, billing disputes and price-change notices follow applicable law and the relevant store's procedures. These terms do not exclude statutory refunds or consumer remedies. Restore purchases using the original store account where supported; cross-platform transfer is not guaranteed.
Keep backups of information you need. Local audio in the free version is eligible for cleanup once older than 15 days; deletion occurs when the app's cleanup runs. Plus disables that automatic cleanup while active. After Plus ends, older audio may be removed at a subsequent cleanup. Upgrading cannot recover already deleted audio.
Deleting a memory can also request deletion of its photo from the system library. Removing Context does not automatically remove library photos, calendar events, shared files, recipients' copies or provider-held records. See the Privacy Policy for details and deletion requests.
We may maintain or update the app and adjust features for technical, security or legal reasons. Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will provide the notice and remedies required by applicable law and store rules. Third-party outages can affect processing and purchases.
We and our licensors retain rights in the app's software, branding and design. You receive a limited license to use the app under these terms and applicable store rules.
We will exercise the care required by applicable law. We cannot promise uninterrupted operation, perfect AI output or recovery of every lost file. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury. Your mandatory consumer rights and legal remedies remain intact.
You can stop using Context at any time and separately cancel your subscription. We may restrict access to hosted processing for unlawful use, abuse or a security threat, with notice and a chance to resolve the issue where reasonably possible. Applicable law and store rules govern any effect on paid access and refunds.
Contact [email protected] about concerns. Mandatory protections and rights to use the courts or consumer authorities available where you live are preserved. We impose no mandatory arbitration or exclusive foreign court in these terms.
We will identify the effective date of updated terms and give notice of material changes as legally required. Required consent to a change will be requested separately. All five language versions are intended to have the same meaning; no version overrides mandatory local rights.
